Product Overview
Ba/Cd/Zn Stabilizer is a high-performance liquid barium–cadmium–zinc stabilizer system developed for the processing of soft and semi-rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
This synergistic stabilizer system provides excellent thermal stability, color retention, and processing performance during PVC manufacturing. It effectively protects PVC formulations during high-temperature processing, helping to prevent thermal degradation, discoloration, and material breakdown.
Designed for soft and semi-rigid PVC applications, the stabilizer delivers:
- Excellent initial whiteness and color stability
- Long-term thermal stability within the typical PVC processing range of 160–200°C
- Improved resistance to UV aging and weathering
⚠ Important Note:
Due to the presence of cadmium, this stabilizer is not suitable for food-contact materials, medical devices, or children’s products.

Performance Characteristics
High Thermal Stability
Provides reliable stabilization during PVC processing at 160–200°C, significantly delaying yellowing, degradation, and carbonization.
Excellent Optical Properties
Maintains high transparency and low haze in transparent or light-colored PVC products, helping to preserve appearance and long-term color stability.
Superior Processing Compatibility
- Excellent compatibility with PVC resins and plasticizer systems
- Prevents precipitation and blooming during processing and product use
- Ensures consistent processing performance
Synergistic Stabilization
When used together with epoxidized soybean oil (ESO), the stabilizer system further enhances:
- Thermal stability
- Light stability
- Overall PVC processing performance
Application Areas
Ba/Cd/Zn stabilizers are typically used in industrial PVC applications where direct human contact is limited.
Interior Decorative Materials
PVC Ceiling Films
Used in suspended ceilings or decorative films where materials are installed in closed environments without direct human contact.
Artificial Leather and Wallpaper
Decorative applications such as furniture coverings and wall finishes, provided that VOC emission standards are met.
Industrial and Construction Waterproofing Materials
Waterproof Membranes and Building Sealants
Commonly used in roofing and underground waterproofing systems where materials contact soil or construction materials rather than human users.
Suitable for non-potable water environments.
Industrial Components
Industrial Hoses and Cable Sheathing
Used in applications such as:
- Irrigation hoses
- Industrial ventilation pipes
- Non-electrical PVC tubing
These applications avoid requirements for electrical insulation certifications such as UL standards.
Outdoor Advertising Materials
Used in PVC advertising banners and display materials, where the stabilizer provides good weather resistance for short-term outdoor exposure.
Proper disposal and environmental regulations must be followed.
Non-Contact Consumer Components
Used in shoe soles or heel structures, specifically in layers designed to avoid direct skin contact.
Packaging and Storage
Packaging
Standard packaging format:
- 200 kg galvanized iron drums
Designed to ensure safe transport and storage of the liquid stabilizer.
Storage Conditions
For optimal product stability:
- Temperature: 10 – 30°C
- Relative Humidity: < 60%
- Store in sealed containers protected from light
Avoid exposure to moisture, strong oxidizing agents, and extreme heat.
