PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS:-
Calcium Stearate (CS) is the main stabilizer in the production of non – toxic articles e.g. portable watering supply piping. The main property of this, is its internal and external lubricating action, for which it is used in PVC as well as in other plastics processing. It is used as a mould-releasing agent also. Calcium Stearate exhibits excellent resistance to colour degradation at elevated temperatures and is useful where higher temperatures are encountered during processing.
Non-toxic stabilizer and lubricant in PVC industry.
Lubricant and acid acceptor in polyethylene, popropylene, polystyrene. and A.B.S. processing.
It can be used as an internal lubricant or partitioning agent in rubber, where processing temperature exceed the MP of 155° C.
It is used in waterproofing in cement paint formulation, which protect the coating from water penetration and thus enhance the long term durability in cement paint coatings.
It is used as a additive for the production of sanding paper furthermore it is recommended in the manufacture of foundry sand for the corning process
Anti caking agent in fertilizer.
